SeedAmerica is a non-profit 501(c)3 561 compliant non-profit organization, based in Alpharetta, GA, specializing in the acquisition and transfer of underutilized real estate, while maximizing tax and income benefits for corporations. Our mission is to strengthen American Businesses and Entrepreneurs through business education and training. Our organization has helped small businesses expand, save jobs and purchase their own buildings.
We continue to build our endowment for our future school of business and current business education programs. In addition, our endowment funds other business educational organizations, as well as partners with other organizations that help create jobs and start new businesses.
As corporations go overseas to compete and become leaner at home, they find themselves with a vast number of underused buildings for which there is little demand. Yet, in the right environment, local businesses and entrepreneurs can blossom – creating jobs and increasing their communities' tax bases.
At SeedAmerica, we care about and serve all these interests. We help companies divest from their underused buildings safely and quickly. Then we help turn these buildings into seeds for economic growth, as we have turned millions of square feet that were under utilized into robust economic productivity (see Who We've Helped).
These corporations not only receive tax benefits quickly, but they also get the satisfaction of planting the 'seed' (the building) that becomes a tree for economic growth in their local community. SeedAmerica's public relations team work with media outlets on creating and rebuilding a positive image of these corporations within the local communities (see Green@Work Article).
Instead of fighting corporations and the free market competitive forces, we work with them by helping both corporations and communities adjust to the changing economic pressures. So America can stay competitive, keep its entrepreneurial edge and preserve the fabric of its communities.
To achieve our mission we acquire properties in specific markets through the 561 Exchange Program. Our organization also helps and partners with other organizations that use buildings to help create the right environment for entrepreneurs to flourish through education, lease subsidies, and so forth.
